How Swim Progress Is Tracked & Reported to Parents

At TAC Aquatics, we believe that clear communication and consistent progress tracking are key to helping every swimmer succeed. That’s why we’ve built a system that ensures parents stay informed, engaged, and confident in their child’s aquatic development—every step of the way.

Swim Report Cards

Throughout the session, our certified instructors closely monitor each swimmer’s performance based on the official Lifesaving Society level criteria. Instructors assess each child’s progress in key skill areas such as:

  • Comfort and safety in the water

  • Stroke technique (e.g. front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke)

  • Endurance and distance swims

  • Rescue skills and water safety knowledge (in higher levels)

At the end of the season, every swimmer receives a physical report card that outlines:

  • The level they were enrolled in

  • Which skills were achieved

  • Instructor comments and personalized feedback

  • Whether they are ready to advance to the next level

These report cards provide a clear picture of your child’s progress and help guide future enrollment decisions.

SwimGen: Digital Progress Tracking

We use SwimGen, an online platform that helps organize and track every swimmer’s development. At the end of the season, your child’s report card will be uploaded to their SwimGen profile, which allows you to:

  • View your child’s swim history and past report cards
  • Track their progress across multiple seasons or locations
  • Keep a record of completed levels

All report cards are uploaded to SwimGen within 1 week after the final class of the session. You’ll receive a notification via email once your report is ready to view.
