TAC Sports cares about each single child that comes into any program. We are a full-scale development academy that helps players in skill development, and most importantly, self-development.As part of this mission to assist each child to reach their maximum skill, confidence and self-image potential, we created The 5-Star Development System (C) to assist students to become more motivated, more confident, and more knowledgeable about their own development.
The 5 Star Development System includes 50 distinct skills over 5 different levels per sport. Each different level specifies criteria and achievements for students to obtain for each
Camps Cancellation Policy
Cancellations that are received 40 days prior to the beginning of camp will be provided with a refund less a 15% administrative fee.
Cancellations that are received with less than 40 days of notice prior to the beginning of camp will be provided with a refund less a 50% administrative fee.
Cancellations that are received with less than 20 days of notice prior to the beginning of camp will not be eligible for a refund.
*If a camp registration cancellation is requested within less than 48 hrs from the time of registration, only a $30 cancellation fee will apply.
Missed Days Of Camp:
In the case of exceptional illness, that results in three consecutive missed days or more, a 50% refund or 100% credit will be provided. A signed doctor’s note must be provided in these circumstances.
Individual camp days missed for any reason cannot be refunded or credited.
Gift Certificates:
There are no refunds on gift certificates.
Weather-Related Altered Programming:
There are no refunds on rain days or weather-related altered programming.
Government Funds:
There will be no refund for Government funds or support. Only credit if applicable.
Cancelled Programs:
Due to any force majeure, including but not limited to: pandemics, cancelled permits by the permit office or facility owners, any cancelled programming or camps will be provided credit ONLY – no refunds.
Credit is provided if the programs/camps are cancelled by TAC and not by the client’s initiative – If cancelled by the client’s initiative, the cancellation policy is upheld.
The credit lasts indefinitely and can be used for any TAC Program.
Year-Round Lessons And Aquatics Cancellation:
In regards to weekly developmental/year-round programming/Aquatics programs, cancellations requested with one week’s notice of the start of the program will receive a refund less a $40 cancellation fee. Cancellation requests received with less than one week before the start of the program will receive no refund.
Missed Lessons:
A max of three credits per year for missed Aquatics lesson if cancelled by the family if notified within one day before 12:01 AM of the actual date of the program – No refund.
A max of two credits per season for programs and lessons that are not Aquatics related programs and cancelled by the family for our year-round programs if notified within one day before the 12:01 AM of the actual date of the program – No refund.
Cancelled Programs:

Lunch Program
All our camps are nut free. We can cater to specific allergies and most dietary restrictions. All allergies and dietary restrictions for medical, religious, or cultural reasons MUST be noted in the registration form during the registration process in the appropriate sections allocated for such information – an alternate meal with these allergies and dietary restrictions in mind will be provided.
All full day, full week registrations will be included in the lunch program*. This provides the camper with a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
To be eligible for the lunch program, a full-day camper must be registered for 4 days or more of the same week. Registrations of three days or less per week will not be provided with the lunch program. – Unless the camp is set up as a 3 days week by TAC Sports (Example: Winter Break Camp 2023 – Week 1 December 28th to December 30th)
Half day registrants will receive one snack. Half-day camper must be registered for 4 days or more of the same week. Registrations of three days or less per week will not be provided with a snack.
Registrations done within a week or less of the start date of camp are not guaranteed lunch, dietary restrictions, allergy specific meals, and snacks. Lunch must be packed from home until confirmed with the office that lunch will be provided for late registration campers.
It is highly recommended that extra snacks are packed from home.
*Some camp locations are excluded from the lunch programs.
If a child requires an Epi-Pen please ensure to provide the camp coordinator with the Epi-Pen. This will be returned at the end of each day or at the end of the week of camp. The Epi-Pen will be placed in a secure but accessible location in the event of an emergency.
Prorated Fees
Drop-in participants, who are going to attend less than 5 days per week, are eligible for pro-rated pricing on premium programs (biking and robotics) and before/aftercare. If required, please call the office at 416-627-1092.
Discounts and Coupons
TAC Sports is very happy to offer many different types of discounts and coupons to the community. Multiple week discounts will be applied automatically to the invoice, as well as the sibling discount for the second child, third, and so forth registered.
**All discounts and coupons will not be applied to any drop-in sessions and pro-rated fees, only to full session registrations.**
Coupons are a one-time use ONLY and cannot be applied multiple times per account. If the same coupon is found to be used multiple times TAC Sports holds the right to invoice the account owner for the amount of the extra coupons.
Coupons and special offers can not be applied towards already purchased programs, camps, or activities.
Gift Certificates:
Cannot be used to refund already purchased weeks of camp.
Multiple gift certificates cannot be combined.
One time use ONLY.
If the full value of the gift certificate not used it cannot be redeemed at a later time, no credit or money back will be provided for the remaining amount.
Applicable to camp tuition Only.
Must present gift certificate with code clearly visible to claim week of camp.
Cannot be redeemed as in-store credit or refundable cash.
If the program or camp is canceled no refund or credit will be applicable.
Gift certificate can only be applied to one participant only, if there is a remaining amount it cannot be used for a second participant.
Whatever value you’ve provided to obtain the gift certificate does not affect the value of the stated amount on the gift certificate.
Changing Sports Policy
Children who do not choose a sport during registration will automatically be added to multisport.
Athletes can choose to switch their chosen sport on the second day of camp (subject to availability and capacity). However, campers must remain in their selection for the remainder of the week and are unable to make a change in the sport beyond the second day of camp.
Cancellation of Programs/Sports
Specialized programs and sports require a minimum of 5 students in order to function as designed. If the minimum number of registrations for a specific program is not met, the said program may be canceled anytime the week before the camp is to start.
TAC Sports will provide as much notice as possible about the cancellation of the program, however, this may be on the Friday before the start of the program. If a program is canceled, the participants will be given the opportunity to choose an alternative program. A refund for any program with additional fees that have been canceled will be provided, however, if requested to cancel the full week of camp the camp cancellation fees will apply.
Bullying Policy
Bullying will not be tolerated at any TAC Sports program. In general, a “three strikes” policy is followed. After the first incident, a coach will address the situation with both the aggressor and victim. During a private meeting with the aggressor, the coach will explain the consequences of bullying. The parents of both parties will be notified. An incident report will be drafted and sent to head office. This procedure is followed should a second incident occur. In addition, the aggressor may be separated from the group or put into a different sport/activity (additional fees for specialized programs will apply). If a third incident should occur, the aggressor will be expelled from camp, not only for the duration of the program but from any other TAC Sports program in the future. Cases of extreme bullying are not subject to the three strike rule. If it is proven that there was intent to seriously harm another child through physical or verbal means the aggressor will face expulsion from camp. His or her parents will be called for immediate pickup (refund for remaining days ONLY will apply).

Parking
TAC Sports will not be held accountable for any tickets/parking tickets received.
TAC Sports will provide parking passes for the Glendon location. This parking pass will allow parents and guardians to park in the designated parking lot for 30 mins during pick up and drop off. Until parents receive this parking pass it is highly recommended to purchase a parking stub/feed the parking meter. Do not park in or near the handicap parking spots, unless with the appropriate handicap permit, a $400 parking ticket will be given. TAC sports will not be held accountable for any parking tickets.
Rainy Day Policy
Our coaches and coordinators are equipped with a rainy day schedule in the event of inclement weather. Students will remain in their sport-specific groups. Coaches will adapt their lesson plans for the indoor space. No refund, credit or make up days for rain days or inclement weather will apply.
Instructors
Every TAC Sports coach holds a current CPR and First Aid Training certification. All instructors are certified by NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program of Canada) and follow safe teaching methods with proper sequential instruction. Our 5 star development levels ensure that students are progressing at a pace that is appropriate for their current ability. All activities are supervised and our low instructor to student ratio ensures maximum attention.
Emergency List
We keep emergency contact information at every location, with records on medical history or allergies. We identify, treat, report, and record any occurrence of injury in a systematic way and keep up-to-date safety records of each camper.
Photo for students with allergies or medical concerns:
We require a photo of any child with a history of serious allergy or medical concerns. Please email [email protected] with a photo of your child. Please ensure the picture includes a clear view of your child’s face. If a child requires an Epi-Pen please ensure to provide the camp coordinator with the Epi-Pen, this will be returned at the end of each day or at the end of the week of camp.
Sign In/Out System
At TAC Sports, we have a proven and safe system in place for the sign-out of campers. No camper leaves the premises without a parent or guardian signing them out. Parents are required to show official identification every day upon pickup of their children and have to be on the list of authorized personnel.
TAC Sports is not liable for any children until they are signed in to our care by the parent or guardian or other authorized person listed on the authorization list.
Lost and Found Items
Each location has its own Lost and Found Bin. All items found by the coordinator and coaches will be placed in this bin. At the end of the camp items not claimed will be donated to a charitable organization. It is highly recommended that the child’s full name is placed on all personal items.
TAC Sports is not held accountable for any lost items, including but not limited to clothing articles, electronics, water bottles etc.
First Aid Materials
Fully Stocked First Aid Kits and ice packs are available at all times at all camp locations.

Adventure Camp
Adventure camp takes young campers through premium physical literacy, ensuring that campers build a foundation of physical excellence through exposure to various sports and activities. Depending on location, campers learn the fundamentals of soccer, basketball, tennis, dance and intro to martial arts.
The weekly activities include arts and crafts, storytime, camp songs, and low organizational games (where campers learn fundamental movement skills).
Adventure Camp Ages 3.5 & Ages 4-6
What sports are included in the camp?
Sports development is fundamental at this age. Adventure camp allows campers to be exposed to a wide range of sports such as; soccer & basketball as group sports, dance as a more individualized sport, mixed martial arts, european handball, yoga, & tennis. Typically adventure camp will feature 1-2 sports/day! Sports may be seasonally dependent.
What activities are included in the program?
To supplement the sports being offered throughout the day, your camper will enjoy a variety of cool down activities. These activities may include; interactive play, arts & crafts, low organizational games, structured play & outdoor learning activities.
Who will be my camper’s leader?
Our fully trained, skilled and certified staff will make up your campers coaching team. There will be a head coach and a junior coach to help assist your camper with skill development.
What are the requirements to register for the camp?
Your child must be bathroom independent, fully potty trained & be between the ages of 3.5-below the age of 4 or between the ages of 4-6.
Learn To Bike
This program will focus on developing confidence and technical skills, with an emphasis on promoting road safety. Programming consists of fun and stimulating games in a safe and supervised environment.
Students will develop fundamental skills such as safety, balance, pedalling, braking, steering, and general biking knowledge. The programming serves to build upon the basic principles of cycling in order to cultivate a passion for the sport either in a recreational or competitive manner.
We apply the 5-Star Development system to all of our programs. This system gives students 5 measurable levels to achieve specific criteria outlined. It is specifically designed to increase motivation, knowledge retention, goal setting skills, and development.
Learn to Bike Camp Ages 4-6
Will learn to bike be outdoors?
Yes! Learn to Bike Camp is outdoors in a safely designated pavemented area on site. Alternative lessons plans are used for weather inclement indoor days.
How many weeks are needed?
The program is designed to aid in your child’s biking development through developing confidence in riding within the week of programming. 1-2 weeks will be sufficient enough for your child’s biking development and enjoyment.
Do I bring my campers training wheels?
Training wheels are not needed for the program, you are welcome to keep them on your child’s bike and a coach can remove them.
My child has some experience on a bike, are they eligible?
Yes! Campers will biking experience are eligible. TAC incorporate’s other learning experiences and helps develop skills pertaining to riding such as; biking safety and more difficult obstacle courses and problem solving opportunities. The courses focus is at a fundamental and beginner level, with safety and game play elements.

Soccer
Players train with professional soccer coaches in ball mastery, specific step-by-step skill training, and dynamic games and drills within smaller groups. Students gain confidence through our 5-Star Development System, gaining motivation as they progress through the steps and levels. Fitness and leadership development is incorporated into all the different activities. As our levels are tailored to beginner and advanced, our camp is perfect for any skill level. Co-Ed.
Soccer Camp Ages 7-12
Will Soccer camp be outdoors?
Soccer camp will mainly be done outdoors on a designated field set up by our TAC Sports team during the Summer months. Soccer Camp will be indoors seasonally. Soccer may be done indoors when weather does not permit outdoor activities to occur & an alternative lesson plan will take place.
What are the differences between competitive soccer camp & soccer camp?
Both camps are focused on the development of necessary soccer skills and elements such as proper game structure, proper positioning and building endurance. Competitive soccer has more of a competitive nature and technical aspects such as rep endurance and building past basic skillsets. Soccer camp is equivalent to recreational level soccer.
Campers from both soccer camps & competitive soccer camps will have the opportunity to be scouted by our coaches and invited to try-out/join our TAFC Soccer Academy.
Competitive Soccer Camp
Our competitive soccer camp has been developed for players with experience playing soccer.
Experienced coaches take our advanced campers through mastery of ball control, defence, and offensive skill sets on both feet.
Our philosophy underlines the quantity of huge amounts of quality reps with accuracy, speed and pressure utilization in a step-by-step method. Our competitive soccer programming comes from our internationally recognized partner TAFC Soccer Academy, a competitive pathway for all players in our TAC Sports camps.
High-level skills, strategies and techniques are reviewed as the week progresses, utilizing top coaching methods and a huge range of quality and quantity of practice.
Each player is measured meticulously in practice metrics throughout the week, and the programming alters to complement their confidence momentum.
Competitive Soccer Camp Ages 7-12

Students gain confidence through our 5-Star Development System, gaining motivation as they progress through the steps and levels. Basketball Camp Ages 7-12
Will basketball camp be indoors?
Basketball camp is mainly indoors. Some elements of the camp may be done outdoors when outdoor court space is useable and available through TAC Sports, which will be location dependent and at the discretion of the basketball coaches.
Is experience required?
No formal lessons are required to register. Campers will be grouped accordingly for gameplay and activities that are suited to their level and to push them to the next. Basketball campers have the opportunity to be invited for try-outs for the TAC Force Competitive Academy.
Tennis
Tennis is one of the fastest growing individual sports in Canada, with two young stars, Milos Raonic and Eugenie Bouchard, leading the way to inspire our Canadian youth to greater success.
Our TAC Tennis program focuses on developing confidence, mentality, and character. Our tennis program is designed through the guidelines of the Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) and the progress levels of the Long-Term-Athlete Development Program in Canada.
All skill levels are welcome. Students learn the fundamental strokes, strategy, footwork and conditioning for the appropriate skill levels. Most instruction is outdoor on full-sized tennis courts. When played indoors, using indoor tennis nets, players hone their precision, accuracy and overall technique.
We apply the 5-Star TAC Tennis Development System to all of our programs. The 5-Star Tennis Development System gives students 5 measurable levels to achieve with specific criteria outlined. This is specifically designed to increase motivation, knowledge retention, goal-setting skills, and development.
FAQ Tennis Camp, Ages 7-12
Will Tennis camp be outdoors?
Tennis camp will occur outdoors on full-sized tennis courts & when necessary proper indoor set up using indoor tennis equipment will be prepared. Campers will hone in on their precision, accuracy and overall technique with the guidance of our highly skilled and knowledgeable sports coaches. Outdoor shade breaks will occur based on the needs of each camper & lunch will occur indoors. Racket, sunscreen & hat recommended.
Does my camper need previous experience?
Our highly skilled coaches will work with each child’s previous knowledge and experience making the program an excellent option for beginners and those with previous experience.
How has the program been developed?
Our TAC Tennis program focuses on developing confidence, mentality, and endurance needed for successful game play. Our tennis program is designed through the guidelines of the Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) and the progress levels of the Long-Term-Athlete Development Program in Canada.
Technical tennis gameplay as well as fundamentals will be taught during the camp, as well as games & activities to keep your camper stimulated throughout the day.
Dance Camp
TAC Sports dance combines the fundamental skills and progressions of contemporary dances of hip-hop and jazz.
The main aspects of each dance are covered. Fun choreographed dances are done with a performance at the end of sessions! Parents can order a copy of the choreographed videos at the end of the session to be delivered by email!
We apply the 5-Star TAC Development System to all of our programs. The 5-Star Dance Development System gives students 5 measurable levels to achieve with specific criteria outlined. This is specifically designed to increase motivation, knowledge retention, goal-setting skills and development. This is a unique and distinguishing factor of our camps.
Dance Camp Ages 7-12
Does my camper need to have previous experience?
We welcome all skill levels into our dance + gymnastics camps with consideration that the program is recreationally focused. We will work with your child on an individual basis to help develop there dance skills in the areas they are looking to develop and based on our 5- star developmental progress model.
What Styles of dance are included?
Main dance genres are jazz and hip hop. Elements of stretching are also included to help aid in each campers dance development.
Trail Blazers – Advanced Biking
Our Advanced Biking trailblazer program is campers that already know how to bike, and want to be challenged to the next level. Trail Blazers involves becoming accustomed to biking medium to long distances on a trail, and building endurance and exploring the beautiful paths around our premium locations. Students take safe, car-free trails with the emphasis on programming is on the importance of safety and road signalling. Students also take part in fun competitions that prepare them for trick biking, learning how to tackle ramps, slalom in between obstacles and start to perform tricks.
Trail Blazers – Advanced Biking, Ages 7-12
Where will my camper be biking?
Our Advanced Biking- Trail Blazers Camp features a morning of riding with the guidance and supervision of TAC coaches. Depending on the location you are registering for, car-free trails and sports tracks are used for the most beautiful and enjoyable riding experiences!
How ‘Advanced’ does my camper need to be to bike?
Our Advanced Biking- trail blazers Camp teaches the fundamentals of using your bike through guiding students on how to use gears, proper biking techniques, channeling speed and maintaining control. It is highly recommended that your camper has previous experience on a bike.
How long will my camper be outside for?
Advanced Biking will partake outdoors. Pack your camper accordingly to weather conditions. Shade breaks and a morning snack break will be provided to all bikers for a safe and comfortable outdoors experience.

What is the multi sport portion?

3D Design and Coding
Our combined summer technology program includes a combination of 3D Design and Coding.
The programming is designed by our directors at Lifetime Skills Academy, a company dedicated to creating future leaders of tomorrow.
Our combined full day tech program introduces students to essential skills in two
of the newest emerging technologies, skills that will be essential for their lifetimes.
Our dynamic camp program focuses on building skills through challenges
and games in our step-by-step system, with easy-to-follow lessons.
Each half-day, programming will switch between 3D Printing and Coding.
Students have a half-day snack break a 30-minute break for physical activity in both

What will my camper be learning?
Our 3-D Coding & Design camp is a combination of 3D printing programming in which students learn how to 3D Design online using easy-to-use software, creating their own unique designs to print on any 3D printer.
Students will also learn how to create a variety of different designs and objects through working through real life problems and applying solutions to these problems through designing them! Our coding program introduces children to coding through Scratch & Tinkercad, an easy to use online platform. They learn how to build basic video games and animations with building blocks in fun dynamic lessons.
Who has developed this program?
Our 3-D Coding & Design camp has been formulated through our LSA (Lifetime Skills Academy) which includes a team of highly skilled individuals in the field of technology. Our program follows the TAC Sports 5 star development model to make sure students are progressing at an individual basis in order to boost motivation and confidence in continuing with future studies in technology.
Are there any specific eligibility requirements?
A laptop is mandatory for camp. Ipads are not compatible for our 3-D Coding & Design camp.
How to be a Dragon: Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship
How to be a Dragon teaches students the fundamentals of financial literacy and basic entrepreneurship through a dynamic week of fun programming. The program teaches students the basics and fundamentals of financial literacy, the history and meaning of money, and the 5 principles of money (earning, spending, saving, investing and giving), covering financial fundamentals such as taxes, real estate and capitalism. Students learn these principles through fun interactive board games and challenges.
In our entrepreneur section students how to create a business model, and how to build and market a brand. Students work on a final project of building their own brand colours, imaging, and ideas for a potential business. Students have to build and present a presentation for two separate business models at the end – one they can execute as a child from ages 7-12, and one they can build as an adult.
Throughout the week, students get the chance to handle real money and practice their entrepreneurial skills
Students will get 30 minutes of outdoor activity every half-day in our dynamic weekly programming. All students follow our step-by-step 5 Star development model and go home with progress reports and their final projects.

Chess Camp
Learn the Chess, Game of Kings, hosted by Lifetime Skills Academy! This program is for everyone, from beginners to more advanced players. Programming beings with the rules, game set-up, and fundamental movements of the pieces and progresses into tactics, maneuvers, and strategy.
The day programming includes other fun strategy and chess-based activities for the kids and 30 minutes of physical activity, and snack and lunch breaks.
Experienced instructors work to engage students from every age level and skill level in camp through their advanced knowledge of children’s education and the game of chess.
Campers will be actively engaged the entire day in the beautiful game of Chess.
Chess instruction benefits everyday life as students learn patience, composure, and quick thinking.
Chess Camp, Ages 7 To 12

Our Chess camp has been formulated through the LSA (Lifetime Skills Academy) to be able to provide students interested in chess with a collaborative learning environment for what is a highly individualized activity! This program is for everyone, from beginners to more advanced players. Instructors will begin with the rules, game set-up and the fundamental movements of the pieces. They will then progress into tactics, maneuvers, and strategy. Chess instruction benefits everyday life as students learn patience, composure, and quick thinking.
Will camp be indoors?
Chess camp will remain indoors, during additional activates, coaches may take students outside for strategy and game related activities.
Creative Arts Camp
Creative Arts camp has been formulated through the Lifetime Skills Academy (LSA) focusing on teaching and developing the main elements, principles and techniques of art through a variety of engaging mediums.
Our arts camp has been successfully developed by a team of professional coaches and educators in the arts field basing projects in both historical & current art practices.
Art Projects may include:

- 3-D sculpture.
Daily lesson plans have been developed to aid coaches in providing unique & creative projects for campers through a variety of mediums, styles & techniques.
Creative Arts camp allows students to work with their hands & minds through developing colourful and engaging projects that they will be able to work towards and take home at the end of the week!

What kind of arts will be included during the creative arts camp?
Our arts camp has been successfully developed by a team of professional coaches and educators in the arts field. Daily lesson plans have been developed to aid coaches in providing unique & creative projects for campers through a variety of mediums, styles & techniques such as: painting, watercolor, clay, sketch work, acrylic, oil and 3-D sculpture. Campers will have the opportunities to bring home art projects that they have worked towards thought the week!
Is the camp indoors?
Majority of the camp will be indoors, some daily activities may take place outdoors.
Strong Earth Guardians
Our Earth Guardians program teaches children about the soil, biology, ecology and biodiversity, how the modern industrial world works and how we can adjust our society and living for maximum diversity.
Campers learn how to care for and develop their plant, learning about the soil microbiome and how plants interact with the world.
During the program, the inner and outer workings of the modern world are covered – how houses work, how cars work, and how cities work. This provides the basics of understanding that help students thrive in the real world.
Campers learn about the weather, the world’s oceans and currents, and how the climate is changing due to man-made activities.
Our campers investigate small-scale solar and wind and learn about energy production.
During the day, campers will go on bio-diversity walks in the nearby nature ravine, collecting data on plants and animals and investigating the interconnectedness of our living ecosystems.
Strong Earth Guardians Ages 7-12
What will my camper be learning?
Our Earth Guardians program teaches children about the soil, biology, ecology and biodiversity, how the the modern industrial world works and how we can adjust our society and living for maximum diversity. Your camper will apply there learned knowledge of the biological world through in class teachings and on exploratory nature walks throughout the camp to tangible ecological projects completed in small groups that include the application of their collected findings and sharing them with others.
Is the camp outdoors?
Our Earth guardians camp is a mixture of indoor and outdoor learning experience, focusing on exploring, collecting and analyzing the world around you.
Co-Ed, Ages 7-12.
Leadership In Training
TAC Sports’ Leadership-In-Traning and Public Speaking Program is designed to provide participants ages 13-16 with opportunities to build self-development and leadership skills and receive mentorship training from the TAC Sports coaches.
The program, consisting of one week of camp training and one week of camp volunteering designed to be a perfect mixture of skill training designed towards high-performance, leadership training, volunteer experience (40 community service hours), and exposure and knowledge self-development and training. The camps are full day designed for maximum exposure to the teachings.
Participants will have the opportunity to plan and lead their own group activities, under the supervision of experienced TAC coaches. They will have access to groups of various ages to gain an understanding of how to deliver age-appropriate activities and in order develop comfort in multiple scenarios.
Leadership In Training (L.I.T) Camp, Ages 13-16
How will my pre-teen/teen complete their volunteer hours?
Volunteering will commence after the completion of the practical portion of the program (week 1) & allow your camper to gain up to 40 volunteer hours. They will work with and be paired with one of our head coaches by using their newly acquired leadership skills to aid in; developing daily lesson plans, coaching children through meaningful play and leading activities, creating progress reports, managing conflict and helping with daily camp coaching operations (week 2).
When do I pick the volunteer week?
During registration there will be an option to choose a volunteer week. You will be able to choose one volunteer week from the list provided.
How many hours of volunteering will my pre-teen/teen complete?
Your child will receive up to 40 community service hours that are used towards obtaining their highschool diploma.
My camper is not in high school yet are they eligible?
Yes! The requirement for this program is based on age (being a minimum age of 13 and a maximum age of 16) at the start of the program.
Students will learn the following in the STAR Leadership in Development Program:
- Leadership Skills: Work ethic, delegation, mentorship, teaching, and developing programs.
- Self Development Skills: Learning how to take control of one’s own training and development by building your own plan and skill-tracking system.
- Sports Specific Skill Training: Build a self-training plan in the sport of choice. Students will learn how to build a daily training plan learning fundamental to advanced skills.
- Mental Skills and Character Traits of the Great Athletes: Goal setting, creating burning desire, and building a routine.
- Public Speaking: Students learn principles of speech making, body posture, vocal tonality, delivery, how to create logic and passion when delivering in front of people.

BREAKDOWN OF HOURS:
Week 1 – Training
- 15 Hours: Physical Skill Training and Development

Week 2 – Volunteering
- 40 Hours: Assigned groups in different age groups and positions, given leadership positions. Students must use initiative, help 2-3 individual campers achieve their goals for the week.

Our coaches are passionate about developing the next generation of leaders and will mentor each LID participant individually. They will provide comprehensive assessments at the end of the program and can act as a reference for job applications upon successful completion. Participants will also gain access to future TAC job postings.
TAC Sports’ LIT program will improve participants’ confidence in group settings and provide them with the skills necessary to become future leaders.
